Communications Audit and Strategic Plan

Bonner Consultants, Inc., teaming with Stratton Publishing and Marketing,
Inc., outlined a new, internal communications posture for this 150-year-old association
of 77,000 architects. The Communications Audit, and subsequent Strategic Communications
Plan, spelled out strategies to better engage members through communications that
meets their needs.
The American Veterinary Medical Association

Bonner Consultants performed a communications audit for The American Veterinary
Medical Association, Schaumburg, IL, that resulted in a stronger, more competitive
communications function and Web site. The audit identified ways the AVMA may play
a greater leadership role in public policy by reaching out to the news media and
building relationships.
The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering

The International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering, Tampa, FL, is the
leading association worldwide for engineers, architects and builders in the rapidly
expanding pharmaceutical industry. Bonner Consultants conducted a pioneering communications
audit for the ISPE, which led to a restructuring of marketing and communications
for greater effectiveness, a new branding scheme and a completely re-conceived
and re-designed Web site.
UNISYS: Building a Homeland Security Practice

Since 9/11, homeland security has emerged as an important new business area
for many companies. Unisys Global Public Sector was eager to grow its clientele
in this marketplace--so the firm retained Bonner Consultants to advise senior
executives about communications strategy and relations with the news media. Bonner
helped shape messages and guide strategy consistent with the company's homeland
security objectives. These services proved instrumental in enabling Unisys to
win a large information technology infrastructure contract with the U.S. Transportation
Security Administration.
HEWLETT-PACKARD: Developing a Global Competitive Communications
Audit

Bonner Consultant is developing a pioneering Competitive Communications Audit
for Hewlett-Packard (HP), the world leader in printers and digital imaging. The
audit was launched in Germany and is being primed for application worldwide. The
unique value of the audit resides in its ability to cull perceptions from customers,
trace them to formal and informal messages from the manufacturer, and then identify
opportunities to better influence consumer buying behavior. The end result: greater
sales and more satisfied customers.
BIPAC: Forging a New Corporate Identity

For nearly 40 years, the Business-Industry Political Action Committee (BIPAC)
had been quietly and competently carrying out its mission of promoting a pro-business
Congress and endorsing appropriate candidates. The problem was that few people
had ever heard of BIPAC, even though it was the original business political action
committee. Bonner Consultants was hired to position BIPAC as a relevant, active
and results-oriented organization. This involved a top-to-bottom overhaul of BIPAC's
strategic marketing communications plan, which will ultimately broaden its base
and revitalize the entire organization.
ATSSA: Creating a National Communications Plan

The American Traffic Safety Services Association (ATSSA) suffered from a problem
common to many organizations: namely, a great story to tell, but no formal communications
plan to publicize it. Bonner Consultants devised a solution. The strategy shifted
ATSSA's focus away from the nuts-and-bolts details of the highway system, such
as guardrails, signals, and construction barricades, to a higher cause, with broad
public appeal. "Safer Roads Save Lives" was the title of the new campaign, which
proved to be a resounding success. This new positioning energized advocacy efforts,
news media strategies, membership initiatives, staff development and strategic
partnerships. Thanks to the initiative, ATSSA was able to increase revenues, grow
membership, and heighten its profile as a player in Washington.
